Programming FAQs
Where can I view your programming schedule?
You can view daily and weekly schedule offerings for all four channels here.
When will a show re-air?
Check the A to Z tab on the schedule page for your favorite show. By clicking on the show or episode, you can see a description, website information and additional air dates if any are scheduled.
What happened to my favorite show?
Some shows may be on hiatus due to broadcast rights. Other shows may have been removed from the schedule. Check the A to Z tab on the schedule page for your favorite show and if you don’t see it listed, contact us for more information.
What are program broadcast rights?
Program broadcast rights are the contractual agreement by which OETA and the show’s distributor or producer have agreed upon for airing a particular show. Rights vary by distributor and producer and not all shows have the same broadcast rights. Rights determine several factors, such as when a show can air and how many times a show can be replayed.
Who determines what to air on OETA?
OETA maintains full control of programming. We do seek assistance from an outside programming agency for OETA-HD and OETA WORLD. OETA Create and PBS Kids are national feeds and cannot be altered. You can make programming suggestions and comments via our contact form.
Who do I contact if I want information on something I saw on air in between shows?
We frequently air short vignettes between programs. Please submit an inquiry via our contact form and provide as much detail as possible, such as time, date and what show was before or after the video.
Can you air a show I saw on another public television station?
Maybe. Check the A to Z tab on the schedule page to see if the show is scheduled to air in the coming months on OETA. You can always contact us to request a program. Program suggestions are evaluated by OETA and its programming service for on-air consideration.
How can I find out additional information on a show?
Visit our schedule page and click on the specific episode you want to learn more about.
How can I submit a show or film to you for broadcast consideration?
If you are a producer or production company submitting a show for consideration, you must fill out our program proposal form.
Do you use funds you receive from the state of Oklahoma to purchase programming?
No. Programming is purchased through funds raised by our supporting organization, Friends of OETA, Inc., and corporate support endeavors.
Who is in charge of the program listings I see on my provider’s guide, television or elsewhere?
We send all of our program information to a listing service that then populates most electronic program guides. It is possible for programming changes to happen after a listing service provides electronic program guides to its clients. OETA’s most accurate schedule for all four channels can be found here.
