Ms. Paula Kerger, President & CEO of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) named an “OETA Champion"

The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) and the Board of Trustees of the Friends Of OETA, Inc. (Friends) has announced that Ms. Paula Kerger, President & CEO of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) has been named an “OETA Champion” in recognition of her longstanding support of Oklahoma’s statewide public broadcaster.

“Oklahomans in all 77 counties benefit from the partnership between OETA and PBS,” said Friends Board President Mr. Garrett King of Weatherford. “PBS President & CEO Paula Kerger has been a vocal and steadfast advocate of OETA’s work in public safety, education, and civic engagement. We thank Paula and we congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.”

Representatives of the Friends and OETA recognized Kerger during the 2024 Public Media Summit held in Washington, D.C.

Kerger is president and chief executive officer of PBS, the nation’s largest non-commercial media organization representing more than 330 member stations throughout the country.
