Celebrate the Artistic Legacy of Harvey Pratt at OETA’s Special Screening and Panel Discussion

The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) invites you to an exclusive event that celebrates the life and art of renowned Cheyenne-Arapaho artist Harvey Pratt. On January 23, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., OETA will host a special screening of the upcoming Gallery America episode at the First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City. This event will include a fascinating panel discussion with Pratt himself, as well as other distinguished guests, offering an inside look at his artistic journey and contributions to Native American culture.

Gallery America, Oklahoma’s premier arts program, is known for showcasing the state’s diverse and vibrant artistic community. The award-winning show, which airs monthly on OETA, will feature an in-depth exploration of Harvey Pratt’s extraordinary career. From his early days as a high school artist to his influential role as a forensic artist and Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribal Chief, Pratt's story is a testament to the power of art to transform lives and communities.

Notably, Pratt’s National Native American Veterans Memorial design was selected for the National Mall in Washington, D.C., standing as a lasting tribute to Native American military service. This monumental achievement is just one part of his enduring legacy.
