OETA Welcomes New Multi-Media Journalist to the Oklahoma News Report Team

OETA is pleased to announce the hiring of Joel Filomeno as a Multi-Media Journalist for their weekly news program, The Oklahoma News Report.

Oklahoma City, OK - Filomeno is a graduate from the University of Oklahoma where he earned a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Electronic Media. Since graduating, Filomeno has gained valuable experience in the industry, working as a production assistant for SoonerVision Sports, a video producer and graphics designer for El Nacional De Oklahoma where he covered community events for the state's largest Spanish newspaper, and as a digital media specialist for Homes by Tabor, one of the largest home builders in Oklahoma. At Homes by Tabor, Filomeno became certified to operate drones and created home and neighborhood videos for the company.

"We are thrilled to have Joel join the Oklahoma News Report Team as a Multi-Media Journalist," said Susan Cadot, VP of Production. "His video reel demonstrates creativity and control and it’s evident he has a natural gift for visual storytelling. We will also look to him to help create a bridge into the state's Hispanic and Latino communities, as he is fluent in Spanish."

In his new role, Filomeno will be responsible for producing high-quality news segments for the Oklahoma News Report program. His skills and experience will be invaluable in helping OETA continue to provide the best news coverage to its viewers in its weekly hour-long news program every Friday night at 7pm.
