OETA Movie Club - December 2021

The month of December usually has just two movies on OETA Movie Club, and that continues to be the case this month. OETA Movie Club comes back with five incredible movies in January to kick off 2022! What are we most excited about though? This month, OETA is launching the OETA Movie Club Podcast! Host Robert Burch and OETA Movie Club producer/director Jeff Morava will discuss the upcoming featured film each week, and do a deep dive on all the movie facts only Robert Burch knows! Me and Orson Welles 

Saturday, December 11 at 9 pm & Friday, December 17 at 11 pm

Me and Orson Welles is a 2008 period drama film directed by Richard Linklater and starring Zac Efron, Christian McKay, and Claire Danes. Based on Robert Kaplow's novel of the same name, the story, set in 1937 New York, tells of a teenager hired to perform in Orson Welles's groundbreaking stage adaptation of William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar who becomes attracted to a career-driven production assistant.


The Misfits 

Saturday, December 18 at 9 pm & Friday, December 24 at 11 pm

The Misfits is a 1961 American dramawestern film written by Arthur Miller, directed by John Huston, and starring Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, and Montgomery Clift. The supporting cast features Thelma Ritter, Eli Wallach and Kevin McCarthy. The Misfits was the last completed film for both Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe. For Gable, the film was posthumously released, while Monroe died in 1962.
