Obsessed with cars since childhood, inventor Preston Tucker (Jeff Bridges) has his first successful auto-design in the 1930s. With that achievement under his belt, Tucker is determined to create a futuristic car for the masses. However, his dreams are challenged by Detroit's auto manufacturers, production problems, and accusations of stock fraud. He is then forced to defend his dream in court.
Based on the 1957 novel by Boris Pasternak and taking place the Russian Revolution, Yuri Zhivago (Omar Sharif), is a doctor who has been raised by his aunt and uncle following his father's death. Yuri falls in love with the stunning Lara Guishar (Julie Christie) but nothing comes of this love. Yuri ends up marrying his cousin, Tonya (Geraldine Chaplin). However, when he and Lara meet again years later, the spark of love reignites.
Based on the novel by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, this drama focuses on war veteran Penny Baxter (Gregory Peck) and his family, who live and work on a farm together. The only surviving child of the family, Jody (Claude Jarman Jr.) longs for companionship and unexpectedly finds it in the form of an orphaned fawn. While Penny is supportive of his son's four-legged friend, Orry is not, leading to heartbreaking conflict.
