A sequel to the 1934 feature The Thin Man, the film presents William Powell and Myrna Loy as characters Nick and Nora Charles. Recently returned home from vacation, private detective Nick Charles and his socialite wife, Nora, are back on the case when Nora's relative, Selma (Elissa Landi), informs them of her husband Robert's (Alan Marshal) disappearance. As the two search for Robert, Selma's friend David Graham (James Stewart), aids the investigation. When the three begin to find out more about Robert's secret life, the missing persons case might just turn into one of murder.

When Buzz violently confronts Jim and challenges him to a drag race, the new kid's real troubles begin.
